Minulta on tulossa Taidemaalariliiton vuotuiseen teosvälitykseen 2026 esille kaksi aivan uutta maalausta. Teokset ovat nimeltään Ha det bra ja Det ordnar sig. Joskus teosnimet löytävät oikean muotonsa ruotsiksi, joskus englanniksi, mutta pääosin nautin kyllä suomen kielen leikkisyydestä valtavasti. Nyt kuitenkin sisältöä parhaiten kuvaavat nämä ruotsinkieliset sanonnat, jotka teoksia tehdessä olivat mielessäni useasti.
Näiden kahden teoksen valmistumista voi seurata alusta alkaen Instagram-tililläni. Sieltä löytyy useita videoita maalausprosessista ja jokaisen videon lopuksi löytyy aina maalausten senhetkinen tilanne.
Taidemaalariliiton teosvälityksen verkkosivuille teokset tulevat katsottavaksi ja ennakkomyyntiin 13.2.–22.2. ja Helsingissä Kaapelitehtaalla teokset ovat fyysisesti esillä 7,3,–15.3.
I have two brand new paintings coming up for the Finnish Painters’ Union’s annual sales event. The works are called Ha det bra and Det ordnar sig. Sometimes the titles find their right form in Swedish, sometimes in English, but for the most part I really enjoy the playfulness of the Finnish language. However, these Swedish sayings, which were often on my mind while I was working on the paintings, best describe content of the painting this time.
You can follow the completion of these two works from the beginning on my Instagram account. There you will find several videos of the painting process, and at the end of each video you will always find the current state of the paintings.
The works will be available for viewing and pre-sale on the Finnish Painters’ Union’s website from February 13 to February 22, and they will be physically on display at Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki from March 7 to March 15.
